We’re thrilled to welcome Laura Clarke as Site’s new Head of Programme. Laura will lead our dynamic creative team to introduce the very best of contemporary arts to Sheffield, creating experiences and opportunities for Sheffielders to engage, reflect and imagine.
Bringing a wealth of experience to her role, Laura has previously worked as Artistic Director/Joint CEO at Arts Catalyst, and has held curatorial positions at galleries including S1 Artspace, Southbank Centre, Barbican Centre, and Nottingham Contemporary.
Laura Clarke stated: “I’m thrilled to be joining Site Gallery as Head of Programme, working with the team to build on Site’s unique strengths, programme successes and their work with Society of Explorers. I look forward to developing an ambitious and imaginative programme that centres artists, communities and young people, and expands Site’s social and civic role in Sheffield and beyond.”
Chief Executive Judith Harry said: “Recruiting for this post was a real joy, with a high calibre of applications coming from across the UK. It is a joy to have selected a Sheffield based programmer to the post and to be able to support career progression in the city. I look forward to the impact Laura will have on our programme, bringing such commitment to artists’ development, accessibility and to making exhibitions which bring new perspectives and ideas to our lives.”
