Join Site Gallery Programme Producer Robyn Haddon for a reading group inspired by the themes of our current exhibition.
This series of online reading groups focus on the themes of Before, During & After: Here Now (How To Keep The Balance).
In this upcoming session we will explore the relationship between monotonous work and the act of listening to music, and how these cultures intersect, compliment and challenge each other. The selected readings look at the repetitive nature of factory work and the everyday experiences of working soldiers.
Please note that the reading group will take place over Zoom and you will be sent a link before the session. You will also be sent a selection of materials to read/watch/listen to at least a week in advance of the session you have booked on to.
Download the reading list here.
Places are limited to 15 per session.
This reading group is part of a series of three – taking place on 17 October, 7 November and 12 December. There is no requirement to come to all the sessions in order to take part, you may come to as many or as few as you like.
