Have you ever wanted to work with technology but didn’t know where to start? Our series of New Tricks workshops aims to demystify the technology employed by artists and give participants the skills they need to set them on a path of creative exploration.

This beginner-friendly workshop will teach you how to make your own music using Strudel, an open-source platform that enables you to make music through code. The workshop will focus more on making sound than on writing code – participants will be encouraged to embrace error and to utilise the freedoms and limitations of code as a tool for creative expression.

Suitable for beginners aged 14+. Laptops will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you would prefer to use it.

This event will take place on the second floor of our building in Studio II, accessible via lift. Studio II is wheelchair accessible and there are accessible toilets on the same floor.
