Diego Lama

The first Visiting Arts Fellow was Diego Lama. Based in Lima, Peru, Diego spent three months as artist in residence at the gallery, making use of our ilab facilities and researching and developing new work. Diego studied at the Corriente Alterna College of Fine Arts in Lima and he has just established Peru’s first Digital Arts Department at the College. His video work has been exhibited in film and video festivals across the world including the Film and Video Biennale, Peru, (2004), e-tester, Johannesburg (2004), VII International Videoart Festival, Peru (2003), World Wide Video Festival, Netherlands (2003), Blanco y Negro y de Colour, M Reina Sofia, Spain (2001), and the Young Artist Biennale, Colombia (2000). During his time at Site he developed and produced a new film work.
