The readings look at our relationship with our bodies and those around us, and how we take on rest and productivity.
In times like these, it is important to find moments of rest and stillness amidst the activity. We need to catch our breath, have time to think and get ready for whatever comes next. While Shakespeare may have written his greatest work in quarantine, he didn’t have other work, kids or a worldwide crisis to deal with. This session of the reading group will focus not on making the most productive use of your time while at home, but rather allowing the unproductive and taking time for yourself. We will discuss laziness, sleep and doing nothing as a radical form of resistance.
