Tom Fleming is a leading international expert on cultural policy creative cities and regions. His work focuses on advising governments, municipalities and institutions across the world to develop effective research, policy, strategy and action across the cultural sector and wider creative economy. Tom is director of Tom Fleming Creative Consultancy (TFCC), which he set up in 2003. Based in Porto and London, Tom has worked in over 80 countries and 250 cities to shape cultural and creative strategies and advise on culture-led transformation. This includes several European Capitals of Culture, where Tom has played a lead advisory role. His work focuses on areas such as urban creativity and innovation, intercultural planning and the creative industries. He is also Chair of Site Gallery.

Clare Cumberlidge is a curator, writer, commissioner and cultural strategist. She has delivered high profile and pioneering exhibitions, commissions, engagement programmes, cultural strategies and campaigns for Tate, V&A, National Science Museum, Arts Council England, Southbank Centre, Argent Kings Cross, Gongju City, BBC and Design for London. Clare devised and directed the Arts Council England 60th Anniversary Campaign and the transformative culturally led regeneration project “Thurrock: A Visionary Brief in the Thames Gateway”. She is published on creativity, design and participation – Build Your Own; Tools for Sharing (Crafts Council), Design & Landscape for People (Thames & Hudson), Did Someone Say Participate (MIT press), The Good Life (Van Alen Institute), Slides as a Form of Public Transportation (Carsten Holler and Tate Gallery), Society by Bridget Smith (Steidl). At the British Council’s invitation she curated Lisbon Design Biennial Pavilion and created ‘Happiness for Daily Life’, a fully functioning café in South Korea. Clare is interested in developing new models through which art and artists impact on everyday life.
